Lilla Cafe
I am a huge
sweet lover. I try to keep my diet healthy and fit but I definitely have some
guilty pleasures when it comes to food. One of them are cakes. What’s better
than a piece of fresh, good cake and a cup of coffee. Since I became fitness
instructor I started to care more about what I eat. So I try not to eat too
much sugar. Being vegetarian also makes me try, buy and prepare as much vegan food
as possible. There is also gluten. When I was a child I had problems with my intestines.
I had a special gluten and lactose free diet for a few years in my childhood.
The doctors said it was all good after years of diet but my body clearly wanted
to come back to the childhood because I’ve noticed I don’t feel well after
eating gluten and lactose products. Why am I telling you all this stuff? Well,
it’s not easy to find a cake that would be: vegan, gluten free, fit, with not
too much sugar (or not at all). Another problem is coffee. I don’t drink animal
milk, so it’s very important for me to have plant based milk to my coffee. The
times are changing, we all can notice that, so it really surprises me if there’s
no plant milk to choose in café or restaurant. I was mainly attracted by its
interior that’s true, but I would never think I’d be so disappointed what
should really matter there- Lila Café. It was a beautiful, sunny but cold day.
I decided to go to a place I saw online and wasn’t really my style. I am not a
big fan of pink, flowers and sweet decorations, but I haven’t seen anything
like it ever, so I decided to give it a shot. The interior was interesting
indeed, but does that really matter? There was no plant milk AT ALL. I mean,
what CAFÉ doesn’t have plant milk these days… So unfortunately I did not have
any. What I had was a piece of vegan, gluten and sugar free cake and it was
bad. Very dry and tasteless and trust me vegan and fit cakes can be delicious (yes,
I have eaten some). The worker was nice. By accident me and my friend were
there when a representative of a programme promoting breast checking,
preventing cancer etc. I guess it all made sense, place full of pink roses
promotes women health. In conclusion, my points for this place are:
- Food:
2/10
- Interior:
4/10
- Atmosphere/staff:
6/10
- Prices: 4/10
- (my piece of cake cost me some 14 zł and that's a lot for such a small portion, not talking about the taste)
